Please watch Carrier on PBS. It was amazing and fascinating for me, not only as the wife of an aspiring Naval Aviator, but as an American. I cannot remember when I have learned so much from a television program. The relationships between shipmates is easily the most fascinating thing, but watching planes take off and landing is also just plain fun. The entire, ten episode series is available online. If you can't watch the entire thing, at least watch Episode 7, Chapters 4 and 5 ("Swells" and "Bolter Bolter Bolter"). More than twenty minutes of spinchter-tightening action.
