A lot of activity at the Chamber today. A press conference followed by pizza, salad and wings. It's nice to have so much life in the Chamber. Usually it's just the four of us and it's really too quiet. The man who delivered the pizza is an adorable, Italian man who said all kinds of English and Italian things. He was loud and his food was awesome.
But now it's quiet again. We tried to have the door open and let the fresh air in, but the buses kept blowing exhaust and a couple of trains went by. So... now we have the door closed and it's pretty hot, but at least we can hear each other talking. But we can also hear our own breathing, which can be distracting.
No, actually, the breathing is fine. Hearing people in the restroom is what's really distracting. Especially, oh man, there is this one guy who must have started smoking when he was like, in the womb. He goes in there at least three times a day and hacks loogies up for like, two minutes straight. I don't know if he makes his deposits in the toilet or in the sink. Frankly, neither is acceptable.
